
Beaverton softball alum Nicole Cade is continuing her career as a pitcher at Ithaca College in New York. Cade has enjoyed an outstanding junior season at the Division III school. Cade is sporting a 17-3 record for the Bombers, compiling a 1.14 ERA while striking out 134 batters. She is also a threat from the plate, hitting .355 with 9 doubles and a home run. Cade has also recorded 22 RBI's. During her 3 years at Ithaca, Cade has gone 49-14 while striking out more than 400 batters.
Last week, Cade was named the Empire 8 and NCAC "Player of the Week." She earned the award by pitching 3 shutouts and striking out 30 batters during the week. She also batted .450 during the 3 game set, with 3 doubles and 4 RBI's.
At 1:00 today, Ithaca (32-6 and ranked #2 nationally) faces St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 Conference Championship game at Ithaca.
