

Led by solid pitching from freshmen Moriah Kimmer and Molly Tyler, the Beaverton Junior Varsity team pushed its record to 5 - 4 in the past three days. On Saturday, the JV hosted Westview for a double header at the Stadium. In the first game, Kimmer tossed the first shutout of the young season, blanking the Wildcats 5 - 0. Kimmer struck out 7 and walked 2 while scattering 4 hits.
In the second game, Tyler struck out 5 and walked 2 while also giving up 4 hits. Beaverton prevailed in this game 3 - 2.
On Monday, April 14, the JV traveled to Southridge and dominated the Skyhawks, winning 10 - 2. Kimmer returned to the mound and recorded 11 strikeouts while allowing no walks, 3 hits and no earned runs. Offensively, the Beavers racked up 11 hits, 13 walks and had two players reach base when they were hit by pitches.
